Château Duhart-Milon-Rothschild 4Ème Cru Pauillac 2010

Almost brown edges. It uncurtains a scent of red and yellow roses. It was a little too acid for my taste, although I'm aware that taste is a matter of choice.
We paired it with meat but I would have prefered to pair it with another dish.
A Château Duhart Milon to drink among friendly people.

Château Duhart Milon Rothschild 2010

The 2010 Duhart-Milion is a bland typical Pauillac composition of Cabernet Sauvignon (73%) and Merlot (23%) and is deep purple-red color, becoming garnet red to brown in color. He has a powerful, multifaceted fragrance with notes of black cherry, blackberry and cedar wood and a nice touch. Full, firm starter, very cool texture and a complex fruity flavor with earthy tones, playful tannins, freshness of the Cabernet and an impressive length. The wine has been at its best when fully ripe Merlot because getting the wines merlot tannins, acids and vegetable tones that give the added complexity that gives this vintage. The 2010 has only received less than 96 Parker Points and has a great drinking window (up to 2040+). The vineyard is adjacent to that of Château Lafite Rothschild (same owners) and Lafite's refined elegance is almost always present in Duhart-Milon, along with spicy wood, vanilla and tobacco tones, especially the 2010 vintage. The cellars are located at the quay of Pauillac. Of the barrels which one is used as 33% to 40% new.

After many changes of owners, leading to a drop in the quality of the wines, the Rothschild family bought the property in 1962 and carries out important work (drainage, replanting, purchase of plots, ...).
The 76 hectares of Duhart-Milon extend in one piece to the west of Lafite Rothschild, on the hillside of Milo, an extension of Carruades Lafite. The vines are Cabernet Sauvignon (67%) and Merlot (33%). The average age of the vines is 30 years.
The wines are aged in barrels for 10 to 18 months.
This 2012 vintage has played the card of the round, provided by Merlot. A wine's éduisant and greedy.
