The Château Lynch Bages 2016 is an outstanding red wine made by Château Lynch Bages, only created in good vintages. This noble drink is one of the great from Pauillac and adds to the elite of the Grand Cru Classé wines. Its high quality is undeniable. Wine experts like Jancis Robinson, Robert Parker or Hachette gave very high evaluations and promoted the Château Lynch Bages 2016 into the wine aristocracy. The harvest took place completely manually between the 25th of September and the 10th of October 2016. The grapes were then selected very carefully. In order to get the best out of this red, enjoy the Château Lynch Bages 2016 from 2011 until 2030, with good storage also until 2035. Once opened, however, you should drink it in the next few days. After such a long time in the bottle, you should give the wine a nice decanting period in the carafe. Only this way, you'll enjoy all its elegant aromas which represent this Grand Cru Classé.

Château Lynch Bages 2016

Although there are records of the Bages territory as far back as the 16th century, the history of wine production in the area really began in the 18th century. From 1749 to 1824, the vineyard was owned by Thomas Lynch, the son of an Irishman from Galway who worked as a merchant in Bordeaux. Thomas Lynch managed the land wisely and produced high quality wines under the name of ''Cru de Lynch''. Later on, Jean ''Lou Janou'' Cazes, a ''Montagnol'' (a term used to describe farmers from the austere upper valleys of Ariège), came to the Médoc to earn a living. In the 1930's, General Félix de Vial, a descendant of the Cayrou family, leased the vineyard to Jean-Charles Cazes, the son of ''Lou Janou'' and a farmer at Château Ormes de Pez in Saint-Estèphe. Cazes went on to purchase both properties in the wake of World War II. Lynch-Bages has been run by the Cazes family ever since.

Château Lynch Bages 2016

- Wine Advocate Robert Parker in February
- 2013: '' The 2010 Lynch Bages is an absolutely brilliant wine, and somewhat reminiscent at this stage in its development of the profound 1989
- Jean-Charles Cazes, who Took over for his father a number of years ago, has produced a magnificent wine with the classic creme de cassis note inter mixed with smoke, graphite and spring flowers
- It is a massive Lynch Bages, full-bodied and very 1989-ish, with notable power, loads of tannin, and extraordinary concentration and precision
- This is not a Lynch Bages to drink in its exuberant youth, but one to hold on to for 5-6 years and drink over the Following three Decades. '' Allergens: contains sulfites
