Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse De Lalande 2003

A wet summer enough to fill the water table. A mild spring enabled the budding period in the vineyard in a homogeneous manner. Flowering was spread on a warm period, with winds from 12 May until the end of the month. Some fall flowers (coulure) that contributed to the decrease in harvest is produced. Flowering average. May 25 to 28 The heat wave during the months of July and August led to a slow maturation: The clayey subsoil and deep rooted vines played an important role in the success of the year: the three storms during July and August got that wine had not problems with the heat wave. During the month of September, the variation in temperature between day and night helped the accumulation of a large number of components with polyphenols. The 2003 vintage is marked by the conditions of the summer heat wave. Average ripening: from 30 July to 3 August. The harvest began on September 10 for Merlots and September 18 for Cabernet Sauvignon, finishing 26.

Reviews about Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande 2011

The careful selection of the grape harvest and a rigorous assembly are the watchwords of this success. A permanent focus is on the vines so that the grapes to be perfectly ripe.
The 2011 vintage has a beautiful deep red dress and dark.
His nose is intense marked by very sustained, blackcurrant, violet, cinnamon, ...
His mouth is powerful, tannic with good density. It is balanced, silky and tasty. An explosion of flavors is felt from the attack to a deep and fruity finish.
Drink or keep: 2021 - 2034
PAIRING: beef fillet with mushroom duxelle. Cheese Abbey Belloc.

I recommend to taste it with prosciutto. A Chateau Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande to drink among friendly people.
It has a very nice colour. Aromas of coffee, toffee. Toasted background in the mouth.

Pauillac Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande 2Ème Cru Classe 2015
We bought one bottle in the wine shop close to our home.
Beautiful ruby red colour with a brownish tinge. Smells of hazelnuts and almonds. It has a very mild and pleasant flavour.
