M. Chapoutier Marius Blanc 2016

My partner paired it with several snacks. Was a good idea. The best wine of  the family M. Chapoutier.
The darker yellow colour I've seen in the wines of Pays d'Oc. Fine aromas of pear and banana. The taste was a bit salty, I was greatly surprised.

Brilliant and pale yellow with green tints. The nose is very open, with citrus aromas and notes of grapefruit and ripe fruit. An ample palate, rich and fruity. Well balanced acidity and ripe fruit flavours allow for a wine with great persistance.

2017 - Non contractual picture. Goes very well marbled crab terrine, skewers the sea, pistou soup, lasagna with vegetables, a leek pie. M. Chapoutier Domaine: For two hundred years in the Rhone Valley, and now also in the Roussillon and Australia Chapoutier produces the best wines: Hermitage, Cote Rotie, Chateauneuf du Pape, St. Joseph, Crozes Hermitage, Luberon. Our vineyards and our parcel selections are grown either organic or biodynamic by respect for the land. Humility and will: The words that best characterize the Maison M. Chapoutier. A house that cultivates its vineyards in the highest respect of the natural balance and terroir since 1808. A coat of arms, "and spera Fac" (Make and hope) become family motto. Two verbs to say all the patience, all the audacity to have in this business. Patience vis-a-vis nature presiding. Daring the winemaker who observes, selects and supports.
The wine is the expression of this alchemy.

The Marius Blanc Pays d'Oc PGI is a product of Michel Chapoutier winery, famous in the French wine scene and based on the principles of biodynamic agriculture. The cult of the terroir, the pursuit of quality and compliance with environmental sustainability are cornerstones of the company: the latter, by the way, is located in a particularly favorable area for growing grapes, due to the peculiar calcareous soil composition . The vines used for the realization of Marius Blanc Pays d'Oc PGI are Vermentino and Terret. The first is known and used worldwide, the second is typical of France and is considered almost a rarity nowadays. The care that the winery staff shows towards each bunch of grapes makes the wines of Michel Chapoutier instantly recognizable, firmly tied to their land of origin. The Marius Blanc Pays d'Oc PGI, left to ferment in stainless steel containers, is a medium-white structure and the balanced body, marked by a unique freshness of its kind. ethers Perfumes, delicate, easy to drink, good taste intensity. A wine that does not go unnoticed.
