Château Gazin Rocquencourt Rouge 2009

The Château Gazin Rocquencourt historic property of Pessac-Leognan founded in the 17th century was taken over in 2006 by the Bonnie family, owners of Château Malartic Lagravière. Thanks to the expertise of the teams of Malartic Lagravière, all the conditions are now in place to make this magnificent property of 22 hectares in one piece one of the jewels of its appellation.

In 2011, in the appellation of Pessac-Léognan, may qualify for the following adjectives: Drought and precocity.
Despite disadvantageous weather conditions, driving the field in reasoned culture helped to overcome this inconvenience.

The bouquet is elegant and focused, open with notes of wild berries and blackberries mingle with slight smokiness.
The palate is voluptuous and delicious. The tannins are soft and well balanced acidity to bring freshness.
The set is very refined.

Drink or keep: Drink between 2018 and 2028
PAIRING: lamb's breast

The year 2008 can be described as surprising. The cool summer and rainy was inaugurated a bad omen but the back outstanding season allowed a remarkable harvest.

Gazin Rocquencourt 2008 is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot.

The 2008 features a deep red color with copper highlights.
The nose reveals aromas of red fruit and wild black faced by slightly smoky and toasted notes.
The taste is superb, well balanced aromatic deductible (blackcurrant, sweet spices) and tannin structure. They are distinguished by a particularly silky texture.
Overall the wine is delicate and fin.Boire or keep: Drink between 2014 and 2026
PAIRING: Rabbit with preserved lemon and ginger

Château Gazin Roquencourt 2014
I took this Château Gazin Roquencourt once with my coworkers.
Reddish towards brown. Good smell of coffee and toffee. It left my tongue like sandpaper.
We enjoyed it in a barbecue.
