2008 Château Haut-Bailly (Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot)

- Nose: Notes of graphite, charcoal, black currants and cherries mixed with a touch of smoke and chocolate.

Reviews of 2008 Château Haut-Bailly
Very old pre-phylloxera vines centenarians, existing even a quarter of the property, break down old Bordeaux varieties and play an important role in the production of this great wine. The latter is of great finesse and honors the ancestral style of the classic Bordeaux.
The 2011 vintage displays a style and exemplary balance. It features racy tannins of great refinement and give righteousness to wine left in a classic style. Note the perfect balance between fruit and bois.Boire or keep: 2020 - 2036
PAIRING: Veal chops with cream and morels
It's red with a violet edge. Strong scents of coffee and toffee. It tasted a lot like wine.
Red intense cherry colour and very high layer. It smells like violets. I kept feeling the taste for a long time.
