2016 Château Larrivet Haut Brion Blanc

  • Nose: discreet body, shortly before opening iodized in a bouquet of complex aromas of fruit and citrus fruits (pineapple, tangerine, lemon). Delicate notes of vanilla and woody at the tip of the nose.
  • Mouth: Round attack and saline with the support of a good tension and historical sites. woodsy finish in harmony.

VINEYARD: Château Haut-Brion Larrivet. Created in the nineteenth century, the Château Haut Brion Larrivet currently covers 50 hectares of which 9 hectares of white varieties. His reputation is well established as part of the most prestigious French vineyards.

GRAPES: Sauvignon Blanc 74%, 26% Semillon

AGEING: Aged for 11 months in oak barrels (50% new), small wooden barrels (30%) and eggs concrete (20%) regular agitation or rolling.

PREPARATION: 2016 Château Larrivet Haut Brion Blanc is a great wine from Bordeaux in the name of Pessac-Léognan. Léognan town southwest of France is made, from two white grape varieties whose vineyard is 25 years old on average. Vines grow on soils of gravel and sand calcareous clay subsoil. The grapes are harvested by hand when perfectly ripe and transported in small boxes.

PAIRING: The taste ideally accompanied by the ocean, fine, fine food, including seafood, caviar, shells St. Jacques, unique and of course lobster.

A Sémillon with a nice colour. Smells like honey. Château Larrivet Haut-Brion Blanc is a full bodied wine with a viscous mouthfeel.
I ordered it with Chinese rice 3 delights.
This 2015 was the recommended by a friends of us.
