2016 Château Latour Martillac Blanc
- View: Latour-Martillac 2016 is pale yellow with bright reflections.
- Nose: The Latour Martillac Blanc 2016 is a bit closed in the nose, offering glimpses of lemon zest, yuzu and essences fresh grapefruit with hints of wet pebbles and lanolin.
- Mouth: Medium bodied, the palate has abundant lush citrus with a backbone living and mineral finish.
VINEYARD: Château Latour-Martillac.
GRAPES: 70% Sauvignon Blanc, 30% Semillon.
AGEING: the wine is aged for 15 months, of which 10 passed in French oak barrels with 25% of them first use. The fermentation is carried on its lees.
PREPARATION: The alcoholic fermentation takes place in barrels. Château Latour-Martillac is a Grand Cru Classé of Graves produced under the name Pessac-Leognan. Looking east, the vines are planted in clayey-calcareous soils. White grape varieties were harvested in excellent condition between 6 and 20 September.
RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 9-12ºC
