Château L'Évangile 2002

Chateau The Gospel is a great Pomerol wine offered here in the 2002 vintage, it offers a deep red color with purple highlights. The nose is fine, dominated by blackcurrant and raspberry and notes of spices, coffee and cocoa. The palate is frank and fresh with lots of fruit. Tannic structure is imposing and creamy and the aftertaste is long and wide. The 2002 vintage is now mature but you can keep this wine cellar at least another 10 years. After a difficult start, very good climatic conditions have settled with the months of July and August rather cool but beautiful September that allowed to accelerate the ripening of the grapes and the harvest under the sun. Born with the vineyards of Pomerol in the mid 18th century Chateau The Gospel is the heart of the appellation, bordered to the north by Petrus and west by Conseillante. I bought a box of this 2017 on the internet.
It's red with a violet edge. Coffee aromas. The taste was like fresh grapes.

Château l'Evangile Château L'évangile 2017
Outstanding cherry colour with a low layer. The main aromas were coffee and wood.On the palate was quite thick.
The best wine in combination with grilled foie.
A wine to enjoy with a friend.
