Château L'Évangile 2005

"The wine tradition of the Rothschild family dates back to 1868, when James de Rothschild bought the famous Château Lafite. But it was in 1973, after more than a family history Century connected to the world of wine, James's great-grandson, Baron Edmond de Rothschild, strengthened the company's properties, acquiring two Crus Bourgeois Listrac and Moulis en Médoc: Château Clarke and Château Malmaison. Since then, the rise has not stopped: restoring rigorously all structures and buildings, and giving via systematic replanting, was founded Compagnie Vinicole Baron Edmond de Rothschild, which, while maintaining a family dimension, opened in modernization and innovations also crossing the French border, to arrive in South Africa and in the Argentine Andes. even the Château Évangile , belonging to the Rothschild family since 2000, has been completely renovated, with both new replanting it with technical and functional improvements cellar, so that today, with 16 hectares of vineyards located in some of the best locations of the Pomerol appellation, produces quality wines which meet the highest standards in terms of election of terroir and choice of wine-making systems. In this light, the wine company constantly keeps expanding, keeping steadfast passion for excellence and it squarely on the bar to adjust a dynamic production.
POMEROL
fruitier style than the Médoc (Merlot). cooler zone, and soils with higher percentage of clay (and lime), fruity wines, powerful, "generous" and colorful. Ready relatively early.

Outstanding cherry colour with a low layer. Aromas of coffee and wood.I liked it because it was as light as water.
The perfect wine to serve it with Faggot (food).
I tried it on a tasting course.

I bought a box of this 2017 on the internet.
It's red with a violet edge. Coffee aromas. The taste was like fresh grapes.
