Château L'Évangile 2007

Château l'Evangile is an exceptional expression of Bordeaux, land where the class can give blood to wine. It is produced by Domaines Baron Edmond de Rothschild, in the Pomerol. It consists mainly of a variety Merlot grapes, present in a proportion variable between 80 and 90%, with the addition of a percentage of 10 - 20% Cabernet Franc. The Château vineyard the Évangile extends for an area of 16 hectares, over a clayey soil and stony. Each step in its vinification is studied in detail because only in this way, what is already born as excellence can become myth. Down for a period of 18 months in oak barrels, 70% new. The view is concentrated, ruby red in color. The nose blooms in a wide variety of complexity: emerge dark fruity notes of blackberry, plum jam, black currant, as well as the sweet violet and a series of tertiary hints of leather, cocoa, licorice, pepper and clove; a slight hint herbaceous gives a pungent counterpoint that, overall, creates a beautiful olfactory balance. In the mouth it knows how to be full, dense and structured, round and soft, but at the same time fresh and escorted by a fine tannin. The persistence of this wine will find it hard to leave the palate. Perfect to accompany the cheese, also goats, is ideal with dishes based on red meat.

Château L'Évangile 2007

Creamy blackberry and raspberry fruit; medium body with a superficial attack, but plenty of charm, silky tannin, and low acidity

I bought a box of this 2017 on the internet.
It's red with a violet edge. Coffee aromas. The taste was like fresh grapes.

Château l'Evangile Château L'évangile 2017
Outstanding cherry colour with a low layer. The main aromas were coffee and wood.On the palate was quite thick.
The best wine in combination with grilled foie.
A wine to enjoy with a friend.
