Château L'Évangile 2011

History of the Castle Originally, the area was named "Fazilleau" by the Leglise family in 1741, founder of the vineyard. The property is sold in the nineteenth century a lawyer named Izambert, which will rename the 13-hectare vineyard "The Gospel". In 1862, Paul Chaperon buys the field and will build the house that we know today. Six years later, at the second edition of Cocks Féret, The Gospel is considered as Premier Cru Pomerol. The descendants of Paul Chaperon lead the property until Louis Ducasse in 1957, the latter being in decline. It renews the vineyard and restored the rank of the Gospel. Resumption of heritage In 1990, Domaines Baron de Rothschild, who in the heart of the wine heritage to prosper, bought the Château The Gospel, giving it care and sustainability. Since 1998, a restoration and renewal of vineyards were incurred. In 2004, the complete renovation of the vat room and cellars is completed, finalizing the new domain configuration. Château du Terroir order to provide the best care in the vineyard, the techniques used are traditional. Indeed, many works are carried out manually, as the harvest. Note tasting of Chateau The Gospel at bottling (2011 Vintage) "dense color, intense purple reflections. Powerful nose, persistent, expressive, very ripe, concentrated with notes of cherries and cassis. The attack is dense and concentrated with ripe tannins and great power. The mouth is mature, fat with a silky finish and magnified by high quality tannins. "

Château L'Evangile Pomerol 2011

I had it alone. It was a surprise for my best friend.
I was impressed by its colour. This Château L'Evangile Pomerol with its raspberry aromas might be considered as delicacy. I kept feeling the taste for a long time.

I bought a box of this 2017 on the internet.
It's red with a violet edge. Coffee aromas. The taste was like fresh grapes.

Château l'Evangile Château L'évangile 2017
Outstanding cherry colour with a low layer. The main aromas were coffee and wood.On the palate was quite thick.
The best wine in combination with grilled foie.
A wine to enjoy with a friend.
