Barros Colheita 2005

Bright brown colour with reddish hints. Complex nose, characterised by the presence of the wood notes wonderfully blended with aromas of spice, dried fruits and delicate hints of fruit jam. Well structured with good balance and firm, round tannins that emerge on the intense and velvety palate. Delightful persistence on the finish.

Barros Colheita 2005

Amber colour with a bouquet reminiscent of dried fruits and spice. Soft and velvety on the palate with a lingering finish.
- Winemaker: Pedro Sá
- Winemaking: The best cuvees are chosen for Colheita ports that have been matured for at least 7 years in oak casks. During this period the wine is racked several times. Bottling is made as required but the label must state the age of the wine, the bottling year and that the wine has been matured in wood. Old Tawnies from a single year, matured in cask for a minimum period of 8 years.
- Grape Varieties: Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional.
- Food Pairing: Good as an aperitif, with desserts, with cheese, with chocolates and also with a good cigar.
- Store and Serve Advices: Serve at a temperature of 17 to 18ºC.

Barros Colheita 2005

The name Barros is today a reference in the history of the port. Established on 1913 for Manuel de Almeida, the enterprise obtained from that time the uncontested prestige for the quality and scale of ports that it markets.
