Description of Graham's 10 Years Tawny
Graham's 10 Years Tawny (Tempranillo, Tinta Amarela, Tinta Barroca, Touriga Francesa, Touriga Nacional, Port and Tinta Çao)
- View: Deep red with amber hues.
- Nose: Complex aromas of orange peel and cinnamon intertwined with sweet notes of honey, nuts and a hint of figs.
- Mouth: On the palate delicious flavors of ripe fruit emerge dramatically softened. It has a long, lingering finish.
VINEYARD: W & J Grahams Port. This winery is located in the city of Vila Nova de Gaia, in the district of Porto, northern Portugal. You have more than 280 hectares of vineyards in the Douro region, spread over 5 farms, where most crops are arranged in terraces on the banks of the river.
GRAPES: Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Francesa.
AGING: Aged in oak barrels seasoned for a period of 10 years.
PREPARATION: This wine Oporto type is made with grapes from the Douro region, where its rugged topography only allows manual harvest. The vinification process is traditional, yet the must from grapes is extracted by the tread on presses. Once produced wines are left to mature for long periods in barrels. The master mixer takes the best matured wine and produces a mixture in which a vibrating and a formidable burden aromatic wine is obtained.

Graham's was one of the first Port companies to invest in its own vineyards in Portugal’s Douro Valley in 1890 and is now at the cutting edge of innovation in winemaking techniques. Today, five Symington cousins share responsibility for every aspect of the company and personally make the Graham’s wines.
