Quinta de la Rosa Tawny

To be drunk now or up to 3 years after bottling. It works very well before (appetizer, served fresh) and after the meal (digestive). The Quinta de la Rosa Tawny reveals hazelnut flavor and complexity rarely found in this type of ports. Compared with Ruby. Tawny has a paler color and a brighter style. It has a final delicate and dry mouth. very typical of La Rosa style. The Quinta da Port wines de la Rosa follow the traditional style: Fermented with foot treading in granite mills and aged in vats and casks (oak casks of 550 liters) of very old wood. As with the Douro DOC Douro this house. We seek harmony and balance of our grapes in the vineyard. so they can express themselves freely in the bottle. The Tawny Port of La Rosa is unique. insofar as it is produced. exclusively. with grape vines A. category usually used for the production of LBV and Vintage. A rare case. with most Tawny category B to D and grapes. therefore. less concentrated. At Quinta de la Rosa is practiced sustainable agriculture. certified by SATIVA ADVID and entities. The wines do not contain. They were not produced from. and do not include substances originating from genetically modified organisms. They do not use any products from animals. This is a young Tawny. that has been aged in barrels so as to be in contact with high oxygen to gain an older appearance and flavor. It follows from a blend stocks. which gives it its characteristic style and the same from year to year. In the La Quinta Rosa the Port wines are stored and bottled in the Douro and not in Vila Nova de Gaia. as in most houses. allowing a single trait from the picking of the grapes to the wine in the bottle.

- This wine exhibits a nuttiness and a complexity not often found in these types of tawnies. Compared with the Ruby, the Tawny is much paler in colour and lighter in style
- Quinta de la Rosa's Tawny Port is unique in that it comes from A graded grapes all grown on the Quinta
- In small, old oak 550 litre pipes
