Quinta do Noval LBV Unfiltered 2012

The Late Bottled Vintage Port Quinta do Noval is a classic example of the Noval estate style. Produced from Touriga Nacional noble grapes, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinto Cao, this fortified wine is named Late Bottled for maturation that takes place in oak barrels for at least 4 years, compared with two years of a classic, period Vintage in which it acquires a softness and a balance that make it ideal immediately after bottling. The dark red color, the nose offers decided to red ripe fruit, among which the black cherry and plum. At the warm and soft palate, with velvety tannins and a well-defined fruit. Perfect to be served along with a bar of chocolate, it is great for meditation.

Quinta do Noval Late Botteled Vintage Port Unfiltered 2012

Late this botteled Vintage (LBV) Port Unfiltered is a remarkable example of the Quinta do Noval style. Produced exclusively entered with noble grape varieties from the Quinta, with the foot and not filtered. Partly because of the perfect harvest conditions during the harvest began this wonderful, pure port with a complex aroma and taste combined with solid, well-integrated tannins. The fruit tastes very fresh with a nice acidity. Intense and elegant aroma. This port can be drunk young excellent, but he aged very nicely in the bottle.
This port is delicious with dark chocolate, a dessert with dark fruit and soft cheeses. Also nice to enjoy at the end of dinner.

Quinta do Noval Late Bottled Vintage Unfiltered 2012

Almost opaque purple with black highlights, beguiling scent of ripe figs, blackberries and cherries, also some dark chocolate, balsamic, and plum compote is recognizable. On the palate, extremely intense and fruity.
