Description · Ruggeri

Ruggeri Prosecco Argeo Brut (Glera)

  • View: Ruggeri Prosecco Argeo Brut has a clear, pale, yellow straw colour with greenish highlights.
  • Nose: Elegant bouquet, marked by exquisite floral scents and intense fruity notes of golden apple.
  • Mouth: Fresh and delicate on the mouth, smooth and balanced. The finish is long and charged with fruity nuances.

APPELLATION: Prosecco Veneto

VINEYARD: Ruggieri. From the Prosecco region in Italy, this house was founded in 1950 and is one of the largest producers for this appellation, releasing around 1 million bottles a year. Over 20 hectares comprise this estate, planted with Glera (traditionally called Prosecco), Pinot Grigio, and in a lesser amount, Recantina.

GRAPES: 100% Glera (Prosecco).

PREPARATION: The vinification process for this wine follows the traditional white. This implies that fermentation is performed without the skins and at a controlled cold temperature of 18°C for a period of 8 days. The foam is then removed in order to promote a slow fermentation in large, closed containers at controlled temperatures of 12-14°C. The final result is a dry wine, but surprisingly fresh and fruity, ideal to be enjoyed chilled in a summer afternoon.

PAIRING: Perfect to be served as an aperitif, but it also pairs well with fish, appetizers, and light first courses.

Very pale straw yellow with greenish glints, perfect clarity with abundant, persistent, fine perlage. The fresh, elegant bouquet offers flowery sensations merging into a typically fruity harmonious complexity with intense aromas reminiscent of golden apple. Fresh, delicate, balanced on the palate and light in alcohol with a long fruity finish. Perfect as an aperitif, ideal with fish, it goes extremely well with hors-doeuvres and light first courses.
