2012 Marchesi de Frescobaldi Giramonte

TASTING NOTES:

  • View: The color is clear, bright ruby ​​with light purple tones.
  • Nose: The large bouquet combines intense fruit flavors of cranberry and black cherry with discreet spicy notes of black pepper and anise. Intriguing hints of toasted hazelnut and coffee give this wine a unique complexity.
  • Mouth: Soft, bulky and captivating mouth develops all its power through a dense tannin structure. The end is sharp and persistent.

APPELLATION: Tuscany (Italy).

VINEYARD: Marchesi de 'Frescobaldi.

GRAPES: Merlot and Sangiovese.

AGEING: The wine was aged for sixteen months and after six months in the bottle, was launched.

PREPARATION: Manual harvest of the grapes. Fermentation occurred in stainless steel at a controlled temperature, with gentle pressing in the early stages. The fermentation process took about two weeks. Malolactic fermentation took place in new French oak barrels.

Nice red Bordeaux colour. It smells like candy.It predominated roasted flavours.
