2018 Quintas de Caíz Anfitrião Branco (Arinto, Azal Tinto, Loureiro and Trajadura)
- View: Pale straw yellow with greenish highlights, slight effervescence.
- Nose: Fresh and delightful aroma with strong notes of citrus and lemongrass.
- Mouth: Light-bodied on the palate with an intense flavour and dynamic acidity. Notes of lemon, honey, and a fine lace of minerals can be greet the taste buds. The finish is long and persistent.
APPELLATION: Vinho Verde
VINEYARD: Quintas de Caíz. These grapes were grown in the country to which they are native, Portugal. Quintas de Caíz takes pride in its demarcated region, Vinho Verde, located near the shores of the Tamega river in north-western Portugal. The climate is cooler than most Mediterranean wine regions, with heavy rainfall and moderately warm summers. The soil is primarily sandy-loam, with some areas of granite.

AGEING: A relatively young wine—vinho verde translates to "young wine," typically released 3-6 months after harvest.
PREPARATION: Created by lead winemaker António Sousa. Quintas de Caíz uses modern technology and techniques to create exceptionally high-quality wines that represent its appellation well.
PAIRING: 2018 Quintas de Caíz Anfitrião Branco is excellent as an aperitif, but also pairs well with turkey, roasted chicken, duck, grilled fish and other seafood, or various cheeses.
