Calcareous clay and alluvial.
Elaboration
With grapes Torre Muga, Prado Enea grapes are always the last to enter the winery. With this we ensure optimum ripening. The grapes fermented in oak tanks 10. 000 Kg. Of capacity without temperature control or addition of yeast. Maceration is variable but can last up to twenty days. The aging of this wine is twelve months in oak tanks of 16 000 liters thirty-six months in oak barrels (minimum), and thirty six months (minimum) in the bottle. After raising a slight clarification it is made with fresh egg white.
Cata
This harvest has been characterized by the mild climate, something warmer than normal temperatures, winter snows and rains just for good development. All this had an impact on one of the most complete and elegant crops in history.
Halfway between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic character you can say it is a wine of present and future.
The wine is ruby polished, very pure and bright red.
2005 aroma left behind in this ripe fruits from the previous harvest to perceive clearly differentiated forest berries: blueberries, sloes, wild berries even want to guess notes of blackberries. All this scrubland flanked on finely intermingled with subtle perceptions. Oak spices are barely noticeable as they are highly integrated but intuit cloves, coconut and vanilla.
The entrance is unctuous and dominant, in a few seconds we feel intense and lasting fulfillment. Without a doubt is the most amazing wine stage. The acidity is present but is friendly, very sweet and polished tannins and minerality has infinite character.
In aftertaste dominance descriptors taking herbs coppice perhaps with somewhat different shades such as dill, fennel, tea bush are reversed. Almost fading reappear fine oak notes.

Enjoy the class. Dark cherry red appears in the glass. The nose contains red and black fruit, plus a mineral note. The wine is fleshy. He has a complex tannins, beautifully soft tannins and a long shelf life.

Prado Enea Gran Reserva 2011

Point higher than usual which resulted in the presence of a more mature fruit and a disappearance of floral character almost complete maturation. It came in the form of sharp tannins. After almost seven years of polishing have been integrated perfectly, allowing us to discover a cast of slightly overlapping the fruit spicy notes of leather lined up very fresh. The aftertaste transmits, at first, uniform and dominant notes of fresh cigars that fade to light key species type and black pepper.

We drank it solo, no pairing needed. I shared a bottle with my boss in more than one occasion.
Especially its colour pleased me . Mellow cedar wood aromas. Strong and astringend on the palate.

This I can only find it at internet.
Red tinted brown. Good oak smell. A little bit salty but it was very good.
