TASTING NOTES OF 2016 Sierra Cantabria:

  • View: clean and bright salmon.
  • Nose: fruity aromas, red fruit, anise aromas, fruity notes, fresh fruit, strawberries, Granada, blackberries and raspberries.
  • Mouth: fresh, fragrant, balanced, fruity, good acidity, Granada, watermelon, intense, lively and persistent.

APPELLATION: Rioja.

Pale salmon colour, clean and bright. Nose of red berries, aniseed and nuances of fresh fruit, strawberry, blackberry, raspberry and pomegranate. On the palate it is fresh, fragrant, well balanced, enveloped by the fruit and acidity with a flush of pomegranate and watermelon. Intense, persistent, leaving a lively, fruit finish.

Everything he touches Marcos Eguren and wine Sierra Cantabria overboard, and this wine is no exception. Light but long pink mouth, pale, warm tones, with just the right acidity to not drop the cup of the hand. Bottle simple but effective decor, try not to take ownership to content.

As I had it between meals I could not pair it. My friends loved Sierra Cantabria Rosado.
Has a very cheerful colour. Smells like a fresh young wine. It tasted a lot like wine.
