I always ask for it when going to the restaurant.
The reddish brown edges were not very nice. Definitely the wrong colour, although it was an acceptable wine. The smell was strong and I liked it. Like the fruit flavour.

Château Dassault Grand Cru Classé 2006

The Château Dassault Grand Cru Classé presents itself very appealing, in an incredibly deep, almost black, heart cherry red robe, with dark purple rim. Also, the bouquet shows deep, classic, lush and complex, with hints of dark fruits, oriental spices, licorice and gingerbread notes. Dense, concentrated and powerful palate, with remarkable, mature and beautifully integrated tannins, before the infinitely long finish using appears.

Château Dassault 2013 has a nose full of freshness and jammy. A beautiful field and a beautiful balance for this wine. The tannins are powerful but structured and fluxes. A great success.

Formerly named Castle Couperie, this Saint-Emilion Grand Cru renamed in 1955 when Marcel Dassault made the acquisition, which he calls "heart suddenly thought of." After a draconian work both on 28 hectares of vines in the cellar, Château Dassault becomes Classified Growth in 1969, reconfirmed in 2006.
The property is now in the hands of grand-son of the purchaser, Laurent Dassault, supported by Laurence Brun. With a team of enthusiasts, the vineyard has a policy of continuous improvement, closely watched by the famous consultant oenologist Michel Rolland.
The vines of the vineyard is composed of 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Château Dassault 2012 will be played the card of seduction this year. On generous raspberry, cassis and blackberry, it presents the opulence, the body and a smooth finish. Certainly one of the revelations of this vintage.

A red which I enjoyed with my friends.
Its intense colour attracted me. Smell like nuts, like it. On the palate reminiscent of leather, slightly burned vanilla.
The combination of this Château Dassault and meat did not seem appropriate, best pair it with fish.
