TASTING NOTES OF 2005 Château Grand Mayne:
- View: very black, ink, purple hues.
- Nose: notes of jam and ripe black fruit, toasty, mineral notes, dominant black fruit.
- Mouth: Dense and powerful, with fine tannins and very mature. Long and fresh fruit, without heaviness end.
APPELLATION: Saint-Emilion.
VINEYARD:
GRAPES: 8% Cabernet Sauvignon, 67% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc.
PAIRING: game birds and lamb.

Bright ruby red colour with reddish brown highlights. I would highlight the aromas of tobacco. I didn't notice any aftertaste, but the taste was right.
