Château la Dominique 2013

Château La Dominique 2013 is a great red wine from Bordeaux, Saint-Emilion and Grand Cru. In the 2013 vintage, rather delicate, the quality of work in the vineyard and in the winery enabled the Château La Dominique to give a very fine wine from Saint-Emilion, with ripe fruit aromas with light notes of spice, truffle and licorice. After a sharp attack, the mouth is round and fleshy, with silky tannins and a long finish. This is a wine to enjoy today and that we can keep until 2028-2030 Find the wines of Château La Dominique with great wine and the second wine, Dominica Relay, at The Golden Bottle, a castle that has gradually established itself as one of the references of the Saint-Emilion appellation. Château la Dominique 2013

Brownish red edges. The Saint-Emilion smells like cherry, licorice. It was not pleasant, it was oxidized.
A Château la Dominique that we had as a dessert of a good meal.
At the a friend's wedding.

2013 - Non contractual picture. Dominica 2014 restores the maturity and concentration of good vintages, retaining more good freshness and silky tannins. "This year, Dominica 2014 retained in its assembly 85% Merlot 15% Cabernet Franc. These Recently, even the minority in the assembly, prove to be the stars Domaine Château La Dominique. Chateau La Dominique is located on the edge of the Pomerol appellation, on a sandy limestone gravel soil and clay and is property of Clement Fayat since 1969. the vineyard of about 28 hectares, from the 18th century, is planted with Merlot (80%) and Cabernet franc (15%).
The area has recently expanded its 5-hectare vineyard, with a desire to increase the plantings by Cabernet Franc and renovated the winery and livestock, a building designed by Jean Nouvel. The wines of Château were the first of the wines of Saint-Emilion to benefit from the advice of the oenologist Michel Rolland. Château La Dominique finds gradually its former glory.

Matches quite well with cheese. Perfect wine to share with friends.
The colour was rather dark red. Aromas of pipe tobacco. Distinctive oxidation notes on the palate.

We drank it at a meeting with friends.
Typical opacity of a Château La Dominique. Toasty aromas. It was harsh in the mouth for a Saint-Emilion.
As I had it between meals I could not pair it.

You have to notice this 's coffee aromas. It seemed a bit salty, it reminded me the sea.
I would recommend it.
