2007 Château Monbousquet Blanc (Muscadelle, Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris)

Château Monbousquet Blanc 2007

Originally from the 16th century, the castle was expanded to its present size of 40 hectares of land only in the 19th century. Since 1993, the winery is owned by the family Perse, which has come through a Parisian supermarket chain to prosperity and later the acquired Châteaux Pavie, Pavie-Decesse and La Clusière. Since then, extensive modernization measures have been taken. Long considered Château Monbousquet as the best "not classified" Weingut St. Emilion. Since 2006, the winery is classified.

Monbousquet Blanc Bordeaux 2016
Combines with snacks. It was a surprise for my best friend.
It had a dark yellow colour. Smells really good, like banana and lychees. The Monbousquet Blanc Bordeaux tastes dry.

In the nose, white flowers and lemon notes. Not a singularity to highlight, the wine was fine.
This wine is rather watery for my taste.

I opened the bottle for my best friend.
It has a strong colour considering that it is a Château Monbousquet. Clear memories of white flowers. In the palate is warm and dense.
We tried it with Milanese rice.
