Château Cos d'Estournel 2006

The quality of the 2006 vintage is the result of two very distinct weather conditions: An intense heat wave in July comparable to that of August 2003 A very hot month of September Despite the cold, rainy month of March, The more clement weather in April, May and June enabled the vines to make up for their delay
One of the outstanding features of this vintage was the early arrival of intense hot weather during the first fortnight in June
Between June 8-15, maximum temperatures reached or even exceeded 30 ° C

In the month of July, temperatures 4 ° C higher than the average were recorded
The second half of August saw the return of cooler weather accompanied by occasional storms and rain
This has the effect of preventing an excessive lack of water at this phenological stage of the grapes' development but in spite of everything, sufficient to halt growth and enable a remarkably uniform start to the grapes

Château Cos d'Estournel 2006

Like a novelist who maintains the same style in different novels, a Grand Cru wine can express a certain style in different years.

Cos d'Estournel has become, in the eyes of lovers of fine wines, the archetype of a certain style of masculine elegance in which immense power is combined with grace and smoothness.

Impressive when young for the intensity of its structure and explosive fruit, Cos d'Estournel evolves slowly to arrive, when completely mature.

Blend 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot

Maturing 60% new barrels

Smells good, licorice and violet aromas. In the mouth it is thick enough.
If you like powerful wines, you already know.

Château Cos d Estournel 2013
Cherry blossom colour, very opaque. In the nose, red fruit and green pepper. The main flavour is coffee.
A red that suits good with moussaka.
I drank it with a business client.

Cos D'Estournel Blanc 2013
I would not recommend to drink it alone. It's best when paired. It was a gift for my brother and he enjoyed it very much.
It's a red with an opaque tone. It has a strong caramel smell. Like its coffee flavours.

Red with violet edges. If you are a fan of red fruit compote, then this wine is perfect for you. Fleshy. Chocolate coulant taste.
It went well with our meal.
I drank this 2011 with my co-workers.
