Château Lafon-Rochet 2009

The history of wine Saint Estèphe AOC 4ème Grand Cru Classé starts back in 17th century with the Lafon Rochet and families, in the famous Saint-Estèphe appellation in Bordeaux. In the historical classification of wines dating back to 1885 Saint Estèphe AOC 4ème Grand Cru Classé Château Lafon-Rochet he is one of the fourteen Quatrièmes Grand Cru Classé of that famous list. Currently the estate is 45 hectares cultivated with grape vines with Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet (both sauvignon that franc) and formed by type clay soil - limestone, perfect for the screws. The Saint Estèphe AOC 4ème Grand Cru Classé Château Lafon-Rochet is a particular wine red berry formed by two main varieties, Cabernet Sauvignon 55% and Merlot for another 40%, while the remaining 5% is composed of Cabernet Franc ( for a 3%) and Petit Verdot (for the last 2%). The wine has as main feature the strength and intensity (also due to merlot, in high amounts), but above all has great aging potential that will enhance even more the sensory aspects. Great wine!

It had a wonderful aroma of cherry and red fruit. I like the slight roughness it leaves you on the mouth.
This red is the best I've ever tasted.
