Château Montrose 1970

I purchased various bottles of Château Montrose 1970 in a supermarket.
Bright ruby red colour with reddish brown highlights. Aromas of leather and tobacco. It is the softest wine of Saint-Estèphe.

This Second Classified Saint-Estèphe is one of the references in this prestigious appellation.
With the hand of master Jean-Bernard Delmas Castle asserts itself in a precise and elegant style.
The 2011 vintage is characterized by a garnet-colored dress.
His nose is expressive with fruity aromas, spicy smells of mocha and licorice.
His mouth is rich, powerful and accurate with time. It is dense, with imposing tight and velvety tannins. It also elongated and éclatant.Boire or keep: 2023 - 2042
PAIRING: Hare stew of ceps

Montrose Saint-Estèphe 2016
I thought the Montrose Saint-Estèphe would be perfect for a romantic evening.
The red and violet edges were visible for me. Notes of strawberry on the nose. I felt it alive and fresh.
We didn't pair it well, but the wine was good.

This red wine is cherry with brown edges. Smell like nuts, like it. It tasted like licorice.
We didn't pair it well, but the wine was good.
A red to drink with that special person.
