TASTING NOTE: March 2009

  • View: Dense, almost black
  • Nose: The nose is complex, remains closed: snuff, black fruit, cherry
  • Mouth: Long, Loose lips cherry cassis, licorice. Elegant wine, spicy. Very little has changed.

Direct attack and clear. Light enough mid-palate. Pretty tight tannins on the finish.

This wine will evolve. It can wait.

This Second Classified Saint-Estèphe is one of the references in this prestigious appellation.
With the hand of master Jean-Bernard Delmas Castle asserts itself in a precise and elegant style.
The 2011 vintage is characterized by a garnet-colored dress.
His nose is expressive with fruity aromas, spicy smells of mocha and licorice.
His mouth is rich, powerful and accurate with time. It is dense, with imposing tight and velvety tannins. It also elongated and éclatant.Boire or keep: 2023 - 2042
