Bordeaux Red Wine 1982, Cru Bourgeois St Estèphe A really great wine with everything you would expect from a top red wine from St. Estephe. The typical notes of the terroir of the northern Medoc, combined with the subtle force and length of the vintage, here were the inspiration for a real MUST-BUY this extraordinary vintage! The Chateau is located in the northern Medoc with Montrose and Calon Segur as neighbors. And two neighbors, there are also notable connections: Phelan Segur was founded in 1811 by the Irish Frank Phelan vineyards from which the Marquis de Segur, his character in turn owner of Calon Segur and Lafite-Rothschild bought. From 1924 to 1985, the winery then the Delon family belonged (Leoville-Las-Cases) and from 1985 the Gardinier family (formerly Champagne Lanson Pommery). The vineyards of Phelan-Segur included until recently 90ha and were aligned to the part conditions Gironde. In March 2010, the winery was wooed from Montrose to and decided 22ha vineyards to Montrose for sale. From the 2010 vintage this 22ha are then absorbed into the cuvee of Montrose. The planted grape varieties mirror is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. The wines from Phelan Segur are always sure of an authentic St. Estephe and managed to convince us in not so simple vintages like 2002, 2004, 2006 and 2008 always.

The best wine for a gift.
A Cabernet Franc with a nice colour. A tender berry smell. It would have been better if it had been cooler than it was. Our fault.

Poor color, with red tile edges of color. Strong smell of violet, it seemed strange. It is a very well balanced.
