Château Phélan Segur 2013

Phelan Segur Castle is located in the Saint-Estèphe appellation. Union of two properties, "closed Grramey" and Château Segur, he was created in the early nineteenth century by Frank Phelan. At the outset, it gave his remains outstanding architectural feature: the integration of the residence, the winery and the vat in a homogeneous building. The vineyard is located on severe ridges exposed clay facing the Gironde, which gives this red wine its authenticity. Its plot management ensures controlled yields. Thus the winemaking that combines tradition and modernity highlights the power qualities of concentration and balance of the wine, clean the soil of Château Phelan Segur. Château Phélan Segur 2013

Scent of red currant dominates . It tasted like grape juice.
A very good red but with too much wood flavour.

The best wine for a gift.
A Cabernet Franc with a nice colour. A tender berry smell. It would have been better if it had been cooler than it was. Our fault.

Nuances of blackberries. Astringent.
The Saint-Estèphe Château Phélan Ségur Saint Estèphe is very good if served cold.

Saint-Estèphe Château Phélan Ségur Saint Estèphe 2010
This Saint-Estèphe Château Phélan Ségur Saint Estèphe deserves a special meat. A client gave it to me.
This wine has a very attractive cherry colour. Good smoked and toasted aromas. A strong red.
