Château Ducru-Beaucaillou 2010
It was marked by: A rather rigorous winter causing a relatively late bud burst
Ideal conditions in the spring which allowed a nice exit of the bunches
May and June are quite cool and rainy, which handicap the floriason (coulure and millérandage especially on the merlots): the harvest will be smaller and later than that of 2009, the harvest in rosé is needed in August as well as the total sacrifice of clusters millerandées to the harvest
A very beautiful summer (especially in August): record sunshine (more than 38 hours compared to the average of the last 30 years), without excess heat, with a very marked drought (the strongest of the last 10 years)
The strong hydric stress imposed on it encourages the plant, at an ideal moment of the cycle (during veraison), to favor fruiting over growth: ideal for making large grapes
Beyond this, these conditions of great drought will be solved in very small bays, very rich, very concentrated: weight very inferior to the average and sometimes even to the historical 2005
After some rainy salvatices mid-September (only 25% of the average of the last 20 years), the back season will be very favorable (60 hours more sunshine than the average of the last 20 years at 180h)
It will perfectly finish the maturity and harvest in a good mood: the record levels of anthocyanins and sucru are promising while the moderate heat preserves the fruit and good acidity guarantees freshness! This wine will be aged 18 months to 95% in new oak barrels and for the rest in casks of a wine (12 months)
(French oak barrels certified)

Reviews about Château Ducru-Beaucaillou 2014
Red wine with violet reflections. This Château Ducru Beaucaillou smells like violets. It reveals a kind of salty aftertaste.
A wine to be paired with "Tapas".
Reviews about Château Ducru-Beaucaillou 2013
Red almost purple. Very good aromas of vanilla. For me it tasted like grape.
