Château Léoville Barton 2009

In 1826, Hugh Barton, already owner of Château Léoville acquired a portion of the estate vineyard Léoville which is called from Léoville Barton. To date, six generations of Barton have succeeded and have jealously sought to keep all the qualities that have made Léoville Barton a Second Cru 1855. Ronald Barton ranking inherited the property in 1927. In turn, he donated it to his nephew Anthony in 1983. Today, the vineyards are jointly owned by Anthony Barton, her daughter Lilian Barton-Sartorius and his children Mélanie and Damien. Together they continue the tradition and share the task of managing the property. They believe strongly in the importance of terroir and therefore produce a true Saint-Julien, with great finesse and a perfect balance avoiding excessive extraction trend and high levels. According to Robert Parker, Château Léoville Barton The increasingly successful thanks to its wines of extraordinary quality / price ratio. The owner, Anthony Barton, continues to forge superbly elegant St. Julian, however, powerful and virile, for long aging. In addition, the price of modesty is something very refreshing. This classic burgundy, developed without compromise, is for those who have the patience to wait at least 10 years and up to 50 years or more.

Léoville Barton Saint-Julien 2017
A wine that can be purchased at the shopping mall.
Red almost purple colour. Toasty aromas. A soft, fresh wine.

I tried it with some wine tasters who are friends of mine.
Bright ruby red colour with reddish brown highlights. The 2015 smells like violets. I liked the Château Léoville Barton, although it tasted a bit rough.
I had it at a barbecue party.

Perfect to pair it with a lamb leg. Perfect with friends.
Red wine with violet reflections. A smell quite well. A Saint-Julien with a very good acidity.
