Château Talbot Caillou Blanc 2000

The best wine for a gift.
A beautiful colour. Noticeable in this Saint-Julien lemon and grape fruit aromas. Oily, unctuous.

Talbot Caillou Blanc Bordeaux 2016
Nice Daffodil aromas. Barely noticeable, but it seemed salty.
A great wine.

Château Talbot Caillou Blanc du 2016
Beautiful golden color with bright reflections. The nose is very aromatic and very fine white fruit aromas with woody touches. elegant mouth, a nice freshness with a perfect balance between the delicacy of the fruit and racy wood.

2016 - Non contractual picture. Caillou Blanc 2016 displays white peach aromas of citrus and almond. The palate is intense, fine and fresh and has a good volume, a fatty structure. Château Talbot Caillou Blanc is a very fine white Bordeaux wine to drink young, fruity. The Semillon provides grant superb concentration in wine. This wine combines freshness and aromas of great complexity. Perfectly accompany fish and seafood, oysters au gratin, lobster or St Jacques. Domaine Château Talbot: With Castle Talbot, Fourth Classified Growth in 1855, we are in the geographical heart of the Saint-Julien appellation. 100 and a few hectares of vines are planted on a floor fine gravel Günziennes resting on a limestone base starfish. This very stony soil provides good drainage and a good return of the heat accumulated during the day, qualities appreciated by the 4 grape varieties that make up this wine, namely Cabernet Sauvignon, king of the Medoc, Merlot and, in lesser amounts and years, Petit Verdot and Cabernet franc. After hand harvesting, vinification takes place in truncated wooden vats or stainless steel tanks depending on the plot, the age of the vines and the quality of the grapes before maturing 14 months in new oak barrels from different coopers and 8 50% to 60% new wood. You will find in this wine complex notes of Havana and licorice, without a classical austerity, roundness, complexity and above all, a great predisposition for safekeeping. And as proof, if needed, Bernard Burtschy retained over 12 vintages of this wine ...

I had it with my friends at home.
It had a deep colour at first sight. When you smell it you can note aromas such as licorice, violet, .... I felt it alive and fresh.
I had it alone.

I could not find this wine in my town, so I rummaged through the web.
Sauvignon Blanc is a real treat for the eyes. It has aromas of white flowers. Oily texture with an unctuous taste.
