Le Clos du Marquis est bien plus que le second vin du Château Léoville Las Cases. Généralement issu des vignes du Petit Clos et des parcelles extérieures au Grand Enclos (à l'origine du Grand vin de Léoville), il a su s'imposer parmi les meilleurs crus du Médoc. Bénéficiant des mêmes méthodes de culture et de vinification que le grand vin, il offre un superbe équilibre entre élégance et race. Sa structure tannique lui permet quelques années de garde afin de déployer la plénitude de ses arômes.

The brand, designed in the early 20th century when planting vineyards, has its origins in the Petit Clos adjoining the Château Léoville remains of the Marquis de Las Cases. Clos du Marquis is a historic vineyard areas Delon, separated from the vineyards of Léoville Las Cases 1902 is the first vintage. At the time, the creation of this brand continued to identify two different terroirs. The current situation has not changed since today the vineyards producing Clos du Marquis is set on the great terroir of the appellation St Julien, surrounded by prestigious crus such as Léoville Poyferré or Léoville Barton.
