2018 Donnafugata Lumera (Nero D'Avola and Syrah)
- View: deep pink color with garnet reflections.
- Nose: Aromas of red and ripe, with spicy, floral and mineral tones fruits.
- Mouth: Full body, structured, round, fresh, mineral, with red fruit flavors and a long finish.
GRAPES: Syrah, Nero d'Avola, Pinot Noir.
AGEING: 2 months stainless steel barrels, followed by 3 months in bottles.
PREPARATION: The grapes are harvested by hand and subjected to cold maceration for a period of 12 to 24 hours. After pressing and bleed grapes, one must fermentation is performed in stainless steel barrels at controlled temperatures of 16 to 18ºC. The wine is aged for a period of 2 months on its lees. Finally, the wine is bottled and left to stand for 3 months in bottle before being marketed.
PAIRING: Appetizers, white meats, foie gras, risotto, white pasta, seafood, oysters, fish, creamy desserts and fruit.
