“Planeta La Segreta Rosso is a wine mainly produced from Nero d'Avola grapes with the addition of international varieties that give complexity to the wine profile. The vineyard is located in Menfi, the Segreta name (that means "secret") comes from the woods surrounding the vineyard. The grapes are harvested around August 30 and taken to the winery for crushing, the fermentation lasts for about 12 days during wich which the skins are in contact with the must giving color and perfumes at a temperature of about 25°C. At the end of fermentation the wine is separated from the skins and placed in steel for the aging for a few months before blending and bottling.”
