In 1873, Don Cenobio Sauza bought a Mexican distillery and changed its name to "La Perseverancia", which means perseverance. This is a fitting name for the distillery of a tequila that has been recognized as the most consumed tequila in the world and one of the 100 best-selling spirits worldwide. Located in Jalisco, which is also the home of the world's finest blue weber agave, Casa Sauza has been crafting fine tequila there for more than 140 years.
At the heart of every tequila lies blue weber agave. This plant is the source of the sugar that is distilled into Sauza Silver Tequila. Only fresh agave is deemed good enough for Sauza tequilas. After the agave is harvested, it must go through a gentle extraction process to collect all of the nectar from the plant.
Sauza Silver Tequila was one of the first spirits to be released by Casa Sauza. This unaged tequila is full of fresh, crisp agave flavour. Crystal clear with hints of silver, it lives up to its name. This is a very flexible tequila that can be enjoyed alone or as part of a mixed drink, like the classic margarita. Its citrus notes allow Sauza Silver Tequila to pair well with salads, fresh seafood, creamy soups, or spicy Mexican dishes.
