2012 Numanthia Magnum (Tinta de Toro)
CATA NOTES: 2012 Numanthia Magnum
- View: dominant bright and deep red, intense ruby and bluish thin layer.
- Nose: intense wine, fresh, notes of ripe black fruit and berries, cassis, spices, black pepper, roasted notes and cocoa.
- Mouth: frank and direct but gentle entrance, very structured and vigorous, round flavors of cassis, cherries and coffee evolution. fresh and lingering finish.
APPELLATION: Toro.
BODEGA: Numanthia Termes.
GRAPES: 100% Tinta de Toro.
AGEING: 18 months in French oak barrels, Racking every 4 months.
PREPARATION: cold maceration for 4 to 6 days with 2 times per day. Prolonged maceration with the skins for 21 days with gentle pumping. Controlled temperature between 28 and 29 °C.
PAIRING: great meat, game, mountain rice, stews, grilled meats and fish.
TEMPERATURE: 16 °C
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 14.5%

Garnet cherry covered in well-defined intense and expressive nose with toasty hints, no black fruit notes and even purple flower. The palate has good attack, medium body, firm tannins, somewhat drying, sweet and fleshy, not bad acidity, long and structured, powerful wine that is harmonious.
TEMPERATURE: 16C
MARRIAGE: Red meat beef (ox, cow) roasted or grilled, big game (deer, wild boar, roe) and certain species of game birds such as woodcock and wood pigeon. Complex sauces.
