Ponte Lima 2017

Ponte Lima is the first wine I drank with my parents.
Opaque red. Strong strawberries aromas. Mild but with a long aftertaste.
I took the Adega Cooperativa de Ponte de Lima wine with grilled vegetables.

Ponte Lima 2017

All the wines of Adega Ponte de Lima are produced with exclusive ripe grapes from associated producers members of the company, ensuring the authenticity and character of genuine Vinho Verde. Among white wines, Loureiro variety has particular importance due to its magnificent adaption to the "terroir" of the Lima Valley, - its birth place - making wines highly appreciated for their aroma and for their organoleptic qualities. Among the red wines, stands out the Vinhão produced only with grapes variety with the same name, which is the most appreciated. The Vinhão identifies itself by its unmistakable aroma red fruits and berries and for its exquisite taste.

Ponte Lima 2014
Red ruby colour with reddish brown tinges. Ponte Lima smells a bit like menthol candy. Cool and pleasant.
The pairing really complemented the wine.

- Winemaker: Fernando Moura
- Winemaking: To preserve all the qualities of the grapes, they are destemmed and crushed as soon as they arrive at the cooperative. The alcoholic fermentation process starts at a controlled temperature of between 24 ºC and 26 ºC. During this process skin contact will occur in other words, the skins and seeds are in contact with the grape juice in order to extract all their colour, Nose and Palate. At the end of fermentation, the must is pressed to separate the wine from the solids. After malolactic fermentation the wine is stabilised. At the end of these stages, the wine is ready to be bottled.
- Grape Varieties: Vinhão, Borraçal, Espadeiro.
- Food Pairing: Accompanies preferably grilled fish and seafood.
- Store and Serve Advices: Recommended serving at a temperature of 6 to 8ºC
