First launched in 1979, in New York, Absolut Vodka soon became one of the world's most sought-after vodkas. The recipe, however, is older and is based on the Absolut Rent Brännvin of 1879, created by Swedish entrepreneur Lars Olsson Smith.
Only natural ingredients are used to produce the purest vodka in the world! The water comes from a deep well in Åhus, Sweden, just like the winter wheat, which is harvested after growing for a year under Swedish snow. The iconic bottle - it's impossible not to recognize it! - is inspired by an 18th-century bottle of medicine found in an antique shop in Stockholm.
