Piotr Smirnov founded The Smirnoff Company distillery in Moscow in 1860. After his death, the management of the company passed to his son Vladimir. In 1917, because of the October Revolution, the family had to flee and the distillery was confiscated. However, Vladimir did not give up and rebuilt his factory in the Turkish city of Istanbul. In 1924 he tried to get closer to his homeland and began selling his vodka with French labels in Ukraine. The product was so successful that vodka Smirnoff 1L was exported throughout Europe around 1930.
Description of Smirnoff 1L

PRODUCER: Pyotr Smirnov Arsenievich created his first distillery in 1864 in Moscow. Faced with competition, it seeks to highlight and offer a product that would be as pure as possible, and so has the idea of using charcoal to filter with a triple distillation and hits attempt 21, the desired result and supplier became a imperial crown. Unfortunately for the revolution that was forced to flee his homeland and eventually fled to France, where Smirnoff is recreated, which is now in the lap of Diageo.
