TASTING NOTES:
- Color: The Macallan Fine Oak 25 Years shows a brilliant amber
- Smell: The nose notes include peach and orange, plus a hint of wood and spices.
- Taste: In the mouth flavors show coconut and vanilla, with a hint of citrus. The end is light flavored Jerez.
DETAILS PREPARED: distilled using traditional hand-made in stills, but its unique feature is maturing. The aging of this whiskey is made in three types of selected barrels that have contained sherry and Bourbon, giving a particular softness and lightness to the liquor.

The Macallan emerged in 1824 when Alexander Reid, a local farmer, got one of the first licenses to distill whiskey and leased 8 acres (just over 3 has) from the Earl of Seafield in order to establish the The Macallan Distillery.

PRODUCTION DETAILS: Macallan selects the barrels of European and American oak, the dry for 2 years and then sends them to Spain. Once there, producers mature their Oloroso Sherry them for 2 years before they are sent to the distillery back to be refilled. Aged for 25 years in American oak and oloroso new European filling in Spain.
